2.8 All media fairly reflect the voices of society in its
ethnic, linguistic, religious, political and social diversity.
The truth is the media does not undertake any particular efforts to fairly reflect
the diversity of voices in society.
There is little interest regarding questions that relate to persons living with
disability or with backgrounds in the unions.
With regards to political information, however, media of various leanings are
partisan in covering opinions.
Albeit the Malagasy population’s ethnic and regional heterogeneity, Madagascar
has only one ethno-regional radio station, Feon’Imerina.
State radio and television meanwhile offer programmes in regional dialects on top
of the national language, which is Malagasy.
