The media follow voluntary codes of professional standards which are enforced by self- regulatory bodies. ANALYSIS: There is no code of ethics established by the Cape Verde media professionals themselves. Similarly, there is no such a self-regulatory body. This is a major handicap, which results in some professionals behaving in an unacceptable 40
