License Suspension | Revoked Second Quarter 12 radio stations had their broadcasting licenses suspended for allegedly failing to pay license fees. The IBA also revoked a license for a television station for failing to start operations. 8. Sentenced Fourth Quarter On 20th December, Derrick Sinjela was sentenced to 18 Months imprisonment for contempt of court in a case where a clergy, Bishop Mambo pleaded guilty but did not serve any sentence, corruption activist Gregory Chifire was sentenced to 6 years imprisonment. 9. Threatened First Quarter On 7th March, 2018, Diamond TV reported that TopStar halted the move to switch off local TV station. Second Quarter 15th June, Mast and News Diggers reported that Copperbelt Permanent Secretary Bright Nundwe asked IBA to close down media houses that covered the President in negative light. 31
