Analysis
The AMAP (Malian Press and Advertisement Agency) is the only local
agency. It covers the whole country and generally provides information to its users. Sub-regional agencies exist but are not widely used
as they charge fees and are much more expensive.

Analysis
Diversity is formally promoted in general. For all press organs that
satisfy the conditions set by Decree 03-264/P-RM of 7 July 2003
determining the terms for eligibility, awarding and management of
public aid receive financial support from the government. In terms of
regulation, the CSC (Higher Communications Council), in charge of
playing this role is not functional. There is no regulation as such.
