2.4 Transparency of ownership of media houses in
print/broadcasting is guaranteed by law and enforced.
There is no law, which forces the identity of media owners be made public,
whether written or audio-visual. The panel has found that, in general, media
owners do not wish their identities to be known. An enquiry held at

PROCOM , revealed that certain employees do not know the names of their
bosses in the media industry. In another survey, regarding the identities of
the owners of radio stations, only 5 out of 12 owners could be identified.
