placement of advertisements as a means to interfere
with editorial content.
This is not the systematic practice of the Government, but there are isolated
cases of such situations. For example, a few years ago, the SOICO group, there
was a situation which was almost a boycott. Currently, the weekly Canal de
Moçambique is going through something similar. A public advertisement, or from
associated companies, may be placed in any newspaper, except in the Canal de
Moçambique.
