4.5 Journalists and media houses have integrity and
are not corrupt.
There are serious problems of integrity for some, not a small number, of journalists.
And, with such practicies repeated in their media bodies, it can be concluded that
these also have serious problems of integrity.
There are many journalists and media bodies which frequently and habitually
succumb to organized crime, to lobbyists, the private sector, to the co-opting by
political parties and press secretaries, in general terms. It is not a rare occurrence
for whistleblowing in an information body to be seen by it, or by some of its
journalists, as an opportunity for unlawful income, which is problematic.
