The state/public broadcaster is technically
accessible in the entire country.
Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV) covers most of the country using its network
of relay transmitters and regional stations. But broadcast equipment often breaks
down, and some remote localities can go without radio and TV signals for as
many as six to eight months. Frequent power outages also cause transmitters to
shutdown or leave affected areas without the possibility of capturing signals for
weeks, or even months. CRTV is in the process of updating its production and
broadcast equipment infrastructure, which is largely obsolete.
