Chad 4.3. The media covers all events and subjects including economy, culture, local information and investigations. ANALYSIS: All issues are reported but the coverage of the local rural information is very weak because of lack of human and financial resources. Some local information is reported only when journalists are allowed to go into such areas. Advertising takes most of the space despite the principle of article 34 of Law 29, which stipulates the principle of having 65% of space reserved to information in order to access the press aid or subsidy. The editors explain this situation by saying that there is a lean period but when there is a very good period they must take advantage and overcome previous losses. The national radio has regional correspondents who cover events in the regions. There is very little investigative reporting due to the difficulty in accessing official information especially in the economic area.
