SECTOR 3 3.3 The body, which regulates broadcasting services and licenses, does so in the public interest and ensures fairness and a diversity of views broadly representing society at large. Panel members feel that the HAAC generally operates in the interest of the public. In early February 2017, the HAAC withdrew the frequencies allocated to two stations in the Lomé, La Chaîne du Futur (LCF), a private television station, and to City FM radio station, which were both owned by the Sud Média Group. According to the HAAC, these two media outlets had not completed the preliminary authorisation and installation formalities. In 2013, the HAAC shut down Radio Légende FM for a making unsubstantiated allegations. The HAAC also suspended a religious television channel for three years because its programme was considered inappropriate. A few months ago HAAC severely reprimanded the evangelists, Luc Adjaho, owner of Tv Zion and Afobali for using the media in order to settle personal scores.
