The state/public broadcaster is funded from the budget of the Ministry of Communication and through proceeds from advertisements assigned to it by the state advertising office (Office Guinéen de Publicité, OGP). The office retains nearly 30% of these proceeds for its own purposes. The RTG does not have an adequate budget. Each year, it submits its financial needs to the Ministry which then allocates funds from its budget to the different departments, including the RTG.
