(i) the Secretary for Information or his representative;
(ii) the Secretary to the Treasury or his representative;
(iii) the Solicitor general or his representative; and
(iv) the Secretary for Education or his representative.
112.__(1) The President shall appoint members of the Board of
the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation, other than ex-officio
members and each appointment shall be subject to confirmation by
the Public Appoinments Committee of Parliament.

(2) A person to be appointed as a member of the Board of the
Malawi Broadcasting Corporation shall__
(a) be a citizen of, and resident in, Malawi;
(b) possess qualifications, expertise and experience in any of
the fields of broadcasting, education, engineering, law,
information communication technology, business, finance, or
public administration; and
(c) not be a person who has, within the last three years, been
convicted by a competent court of a crime which is punishable
with imprisonment without an option of a fine.

(3) In appointing members of the Board of the Malawi
Broadcasting Cooperation under subsection (1), the President shall
have regard to gender equality and the need for continuity of
service on the Board of the Malawi Broadcasting Cooperation.
(4) The names of all members of the Board of the Malawi
Broadcasting Corporation, and every change of membership, shall
be published in the Gazette.

(5) A person shall not qualify to be appointed as a member of the
Board of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation if that person__
(a) holds a position in a political party;
(b) has, within the last three years, been convicted by a
competent court of a crime which is punishable with
imprisonment without an option of a fine;
(c) is an undischarged bankrupt;
(d) is a minor;
(e) is a Member of Parliament; or
(f) is a Minister or a deputy Minister.

(6) The President shall appoint one of the members of the Board
of the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation as Chairperson.

(7) In the event of the office of the Chairperson of the Board of
the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation becoming vacant, members
