The media practice levels of professional 			
standards.

The media follows voluntarily codes of professional 			
standards which are enforced by self-regulatory bodies.

Analysis:
Effectively, the media follow certain voluntary codes but these are
not imposed by any self regulating body. What journalists do is to
follow the universal ethical and deontological rules of their profession.

The standard of reporting follows the basic principles of 		
accuracy and fairness.

Analysis:
In general the media organisations follow the principles of accuracy
and impartiality. However there are still some areas that interfere
negatively in the reporting like, for instance, the excessive usage
of adjectives.

The media cover the full spectrum of events, issues and 		
cultures, including business/economics, cultural, local and 		
investigative stories.

Analysis:
There is an effort towards that end but the media is not yet capable
of covering all the relevant news events. The notion of what is really
