An analysis of Social Media use in The SADC region - 2014 - 2020 those countries where GNI per capita82 is higher, with Senegal being an exception. In particular, 44% of Internet users in South Africa spend most of their time on social media, 68% Tanzania and six in ten (62%) in Lesotho spend most of their time on the Internet mainly for communication purposes.
