SCORES: Individual scores: 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 1 Average score: 1.3 2.8 Media diversity is promoted through adequate competition, regulation/legislation. ANALYSIS: Apart from Decree N°2000/158 of April 3, 2000 on the creation and management of private audio-visual communication outfits, there is no specific legislation designed to promote media diversity. The Florence Convention is not applied. Proprietors of private audiovisual communication organs and newspaper publishers do not benefit from tax exoneration when it comes to importing inputs.
