(2) An application for approval to transfer a licence shall be
made to the Authority and the Authority may, within thirty days of
receipt of the application-approve the application on such terms and conditions as
it may determine; or
reject the application in accordance with the provisions
of this Act.
17. (1) The Authority may, upon application by a licensee, amend
the licence where—

some other person has succeeded to the interest in the
licence belonging to the licensee, by substituting for the
name of the licensee, the name of the successor; or
the name of the licensee has changed, by substituting the
name so changed.
(2) The Authority shall, before amending a licence under
subsection (1). notify the public in a daily newspaper of general
circulation in Zambia.
(3) No compensation is payable by the Authority to a licensee
for any amendment to a licence under this section.
18. (1) Subject to the other provisions of this Act, the Authority
may suspend or cancel a licence if the holder—
obtained the licence by fraud or submission of false
information or statements;
contravenes this Act, any other written law relating to
the licence or any terms and conditions of the licence;
fails to comply with a decision or guidelines made by the
Authority;
enters into receivership or liquidation or takes any action
for voluntary winding up or dissolution;
enters into any scheme of arrangement, other than for
the purpose of reconstruction or amalgamation, upon
terms and within such period as may previously have
been approved in writing by the Authority;
is the subject of any order that is made by a court or
tribunal for its compulsory winding up or dissolution;
has ceased to fulfil the eligibility requirements under this
Act; or
the suspension or cancellation is in the public interest.
