SECTOR 4 4.8 Equal opportunities regardless of race or ethnicity, social group, gender/sex, religion, disabilities and age are promoted in media houses. Equal opportunities are promoted in the Ivorian press bodies in various ways. With regard to disability, for example, a handicapped photographer works at the daily Notre Voie, to the satisfaction of his editors. In terms of gender, however, women are not equally represented in positions of responsibility. The proof is that there are only three women who are editors-in-chief in the print media. Women are more attracted to broadcasting than to print media.
