The state/public broadcaster is accountable to
the public through a board representative of society
at large and selected in an independent, open and
transparent manner.
The Guinean Radio and Television Corporation (Radio Télévision Guinéenne,
RTG) has neither a board nor a status of its own. The RTG falls under the
Ministry of Communication, as stipulated by a decree to this effect. The director
of the Corporation is appointed by the President of the Republic.
