3.2 Broadcasting is regulated by an independent body
that is adequately protected by law against interference and whose board is not dominated by any particular political party and is appointed – in an open
way - involving civil society and not dominated by any
particular political party.
In Mozambique, there is no independent regulator for the broadcasting sector. It
is the Government itself which assumes this function, through an institution like
the Information Office, which falls under the Office of the Prime Minister, and the
National Institute of Communications of Mozambique (INCM), overseen by the
Minister of Transport and Communications.
