There is a misperception in media coverage that everything is in Accra. As such,
coverage on other areas is limited – especially in media based in the capital city –
thus presenting a geographical bias in media coverage.

2.10 Private broadcasters deliver a minimum of quality
public interest programmes.
The public interest is overshadowed by the commercial interest of private
broadcasters. There are, however, a few private broadcasters, such as Joy FM,
which “does excellent work on ensuring public interest”.
