This means investing in content and ensuring it is available. TelOne is currently developing a strategy that will enable it to move from being only a network provider to trying to influence the content that is carried through its network. One of the major challenges to the operations of telecommunications companies is the cost of making bandwidth available to the citizenry. INTERNET GOVERNANCE MULTISTAKEHOLDER CONFERENCE REPORT 2015 This is due to expenses incurred in carrying bandwidth from overseas and the costs of setting up internet infrastructure.
