An analysis of Social Media use in The SADC region - 2014 - 2020 Urban people have over double numbers of people in low income, mature (45+ years) and rural respectively. Men also have more access to social media than women. Connectivity is vital, but not enough to realize the full social media development benefits. The internet, in a broad sense, has grown quickly, but it is by no means universal.
